Although I was born and bred in the North-West , I didn't live in Blackpool but was a frequent visitor for day trips and have many fond memories (and photographs ) of it .
After four years at Liverpool University , I started a teaching career at a secondary school in south-east London.
But in 2004 ,after 35 years , I moved back "up North " and settled in Blackpool and , being -away from the chalk-face , have been able to indulge my interest in foreign travel and to record my travels in photographs .
Blackpool has changed since I was here as a child .
The revolution in air-fares has meant that far fewer families come here for their annual holidays .Instead , they jet off to sunnier climes !
But Blackpool still attracts millions of visitors every year .There are still miles and miles of golden sands. There are still many things to do in Blackpool - come rain or shine !
Blackpool Council have produced strong and imaginative plans to revitalise the town , to reinvent the Resort.
A Renaissance - with a " Wow " factor !
My main aim in this website , is to show off Blackpool -in an entertaining way , with high-resolution photgraphs with special effects - and with ambient music .
Enjoy !
